Brilliant Indian International School (BIIS) is an initiative of the Al-Azhar Group of Institutions, established with the vision of providing quality and accessible education to Indian students in Qatar. The school adopts innovative teaching methodologies that promote child-centred and holistic learning, with focused attention on the overall development of every learner. spiritually, morally, culturally, academically, aesthetically, and physically. At BIIS, education begins with the child’s individual needs. Great emphasis is placed on nurturing self-respect and self-esteem, ensuring that every child is valued for who they are and encouraged to give their very best.
The school was established in the 2021–2022 academic year under the guidance of the Founder Chairman, Dr. K. M. Moosa, and the Managing Director, Mr. K. M. Mijas. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in line with the directives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the school initially commenced with online classes. After one term, BIIS smoothly transitioned to a blended learning model with 50% on-campus attendance.BIIS began its journey with an intake of 150 students up to Grade 4 and has since grown steadily, expanding to Grade 6 with a strength of 600 students.
In the 2025–26 academic year, the school progressed further toward international standards under the leadership of Ms. Biby C. Mytheen, who assumed charge as Advisory Director.
The school is supported by highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated teaching professionals who continuously strive to enhance the quality of education by effectively utilizing the facilities and opportunities provided.To facilitate an effective teaching–learning process, the school provides state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities. The school building is fully air-conditioned and comprises spacious, audio-visual smart classrooms. Each classroom is equipped with smart boards, whiteboards, soft boards, and individual tables and chairs to support activity-oriented learning. The school clinic and activity room are also well equipped to meet students’ needs.
